PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus forbearing the 3rd to 5th respondents their men, agents, servants or anybody collecting money or conducting financial transactions in the name of "Mathi Kootram Sri Selaikkari Amman Temple Thayathigal Sangam (Kutti Nadar Vakaiyara) for Mahashivaratri Festival and Fourth Mandagapadi scheduled on 15.02.2026 and 16.02.2026 in respect of Sri Selaikkari Amman Temple, situated at Door No. 83, P.K.S.A. Arumugam Nadar Road, Sivakasi, Virudhunagar District without renewal and audit basis of the petitioner's representation dated 02.02.2026. ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed forbearing the private respondents namely, the respondents 3 to 5 from collecting any money or conducting financial transactions in the name of the "Mathi Kootram Sri Selaikkari Amman Temple Thayathigal Sangam (Kutti Nadar Vakaiyara) for Mahashivaratri Festival and Fourth Mandagapadi scheduled on 15.02.2026 and 16.02.2026 in respect of Sri Selaikkari Amman Temple.

2. A perusal of the affidavit would clearly reveal that there is a private dispute between the petitioner and the respondents 3 to 5 herein. The temple is not administered or governed by the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department. In such circumstances, it is always open to the petitioner to ventilate his grievances before the appropriate forum.
