ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed, invoking Section 482 Cr.P.C., seeking orders, to direct the second respondent to issue NonTraceable Certificate to the petitioner with regard to the missing original sale deed Document No.1168 /1977 on the file of the Radhapuram, Sub Registrar, Document No.3404/2006 on the file of the Joint II Sub-Registrar, Palayamkottai, Document No.1946/2008 on the file of the Sub Registrar, Idalakudi, Kanyakumari District within a time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has lodged a complaint dated 27.10.2022 before the second respondent for missing original sale deed Document No.1168 /1977 on the file of the Radhapuram, Sub Registrar, Document No.3404/2006 on the file 2/4

of the Joint II Sub-Registrar, Palayamkottai, Document No.1946/2008 on the file of the Sub Registrar, Idalakudi, Kanyakumari District, but no action was taken and hence, he has lodged another complaint dated 08.02.2023.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's complaint dated 08.02.2023 is pending.

5. Considering the above, the second respondent police is directed to conduct enquiry and issue Non-traceable Certificate to the petitioner, after ensuring the said document has not been deposited for any purpose, following the circular issued by the Director General of Police.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
