O R D E R
This Criminal Original petition is filed seeking a direction to the second respondent herein to file a final report in connection with Crime No.758 of 2013, dated 24.11.2013, within a stipulated period to be fixed by this Court.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Criminal side) appearing for the respondents.
3. The learned Government Advocate(Criminal Side) on instructions submitted that the case was transferred to CBCID and that there is substantial progress, after it was transferred to CBCID. It is also stated that one of the main accused was arrested and he is still in custody of the respondent police. It is further stated that few others involved have their permanent residence in other States and that steps have been taken to arrest the rest of them, so as to complete the investigation. Special Team is also formed to find out all the accused.
4. Since the learned Government Advocate(Criminal Side), gave some particulars with regard to the steps taken by the respondents in this case, this Court is satisfied. However, in order to avoid any delay, this Court is inclined to pass the following direction:- " The second respondent is directed to complete the investigation and to file a final report in Crime No.758 of 2014 within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
