O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.03.2018 and thereby, to direct the respondents to conduct a peace committee meeting and provide protection to place the swamy idols of Vidathuday Ayyanar, Pooranathammal, Porkodiyammal, Vinayagar, Karuppar in the Vidathudai Ayyanar temple for the worship of villagers at Puliyankudi Kudiirppu Village, Puduvayal, Sivagangai District.

2.Heard Mr.V.Manikandan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Anand, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents has submitted that on 18.03.2018, the respondents 1 and 2 have conducted a meeting with both parties and in the said meeting, both parties have agreed to refer the matter to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Devakkottai, for conducting a peace committee meeting. He has also produced a copy of the said proceedings. 4.The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted the Revenue Divisional Officer, Devakkottai, in turn, directed the second respondent herein to conduct a peace committee meeting and the same is pending before him.

5.Considering the aforesaid submissions, the second respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.03.2018 and to conduct a peace committee meeting and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law, within a reasonable time and communicate the same to the parties.

6.With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
