This Writ Petition is filed directing the second respondent to conduct enquiry and dispose the petition made by the petitioner dated 28.10.2025.

2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

According to the petitioner, he has filed a petition dated 28.10.2025 to the respondents seeking correction in the 'A' Register and issuance of patta in the name TS.PL.P.Chidhambaram Chettiyar, which is still pending before the respondents without any final decision, despite the long lapse of time. The petitioner contends that the prolonged inaction of the respondents is arbitrary and has caused undue hardship, necessitating the intervention of this Court. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the petitioner's petition will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. Recording the above submissions, this Writ Petition is disposed of, with a direction to the second respondent to consider the 2/4

application of the petitioner, dated 28.10.2025, on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity to the petitioner as well as all other persons, who may be interested in the subject matter, within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is also made clear that this Court has not expressed any of its views with regard to the merits of the matter and that it is open to the second respondent to consider the same on its own merits. There shall be no order as to costs.
