Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to make necessary entries in the relevant register to that effect in respect of cancellation of the sale certificate dated 21.07.2014 relating to the said property in R.S.No.69/2A, Nehru Street, Senthilnathan, 4th Street, Tahsildar Nagar, Managiri Village, Madurai District, Managiri Village by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 11.12.2020.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to make an entry in the records cancelling the Sale Certificate dated 21.07.2014 in line with the orders passed by this Court in C.R.P.(MD)(PD).No.1485 of 2018, dated 02.08.2018 and which was subsequently confirmed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in C.A.No.6146 of 2019 by order dated 24.04.2020.

2. The case of the petitioner is that when the Civil Revision Petition filed by the petitioner was allowed, a specific direction was given to the Registration Department to cancel the entry regarding the Sale Certificate dated 21.07.2014. After this order was confirmed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court, the petitioner made a representation to the respondent on 11.12.2020 seeking for making the necessary entry. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court. 1/3

3. Heard Mr.S.Manikandan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.K.Sathiya Singh, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the earlier directions issued by this Court in the Civil Revision Petition, which was subsequently confirmed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court, there shall be a direction to the respondent to make an entry in the records cancelling the Sale Certificate dated 21.07.2014 relating to the subject property, within a period of two(02) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The petitioner is directed to make a fresh representation to the respondent along with all the relevant documents and also a copy of this order.

6. This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
