ORDER

The petitioner/Accused No.3 filed this petition to quash the proceedings in Crime No.128 of 2020 registered under Section 75 of Tamil Nadu City Police Act, 1888, on the file of the first respondent.

2. The facts of the case is that during COVID-19 lockdown period, on 05.06.2020 when the Achanputhur police were on patrol duty, they found that the petitioner and two other accused were standing near the VAO office and speaking in abusive manner by scolding them each other in filthy language and disturbing the public peace and tranquillity. Hence, the 1st respondent police registered a case in Crime No.128 of 2020 under Section 75 of the Tamil Nadu City Police Act, 1888.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that after completion of investigation final report was filed and the same was taken on file in STC.No.14411 of 2021. After trial, the said case was disposed of on 07.07.2022.
