The petitioner seeks quash of FIR in Crime No.409 of 2014 dated 20.07.2014 on the file of the first respondent police. 2.On a complaint filed by the wife/2nd respondent, the case has been registered for offences under Sections 294(b) IPC and 4 of TamilNadu Prohibition of Women Harassment Act. A joint compromise memo has been filed to the effect that the matter has been settled out of court between the petitioner and the defacto complainant before the elders and well wishers of both of them. Accepting the compromise, the proceedings in FIR in Crime No.409 of 2014 dated 20.07.2014 on the file of the Inspector of Police, Karungal Police Station, Kanyakumari District shall stand quashed. The compromise shall form part of record.
