Mr.P.Mahendran, learned standing counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondent.

2. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for disposal, at the admission stage itself.

3. The writ petition has been filed by the petitioner praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.12.2019 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

4. The case of the petitioner is that after the death of his brother N.S.M.M.Abdul Hameed, the petitioner has made a representation to the respondent on 05.12.2019 for the purpose of effectuation of property tax in his favour in respect of a portion of the property that has been gifted to the petitioner by means of oral Hiba. The said representation is still pending. Hence, this writ petition.

Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for, without going into the merits of the case, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 05.12.2019 and pass appropriate orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to the petitioner as well as the other persons concerned, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
