ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, thereby directing the respondent to grant permission and protection to conduct the temple festival at 'Arulmighu Melamaavadi 'Sree Sivananaintha Perumal' and 'Sree Akkini Madasamy Temple' which is situated in Melamaavadi, Tirunelveli District on 01.04.2021 and 02.04.2021 by considering the representation dated 27.02.2021.

2.On the side of the petitioner, it is stated that a direction may be issued to the respondent to give permission and protection for conducting temple festival on 01.04.2021 and on 02.04.2021 at 'Arulmighu Melamaavadi 'Sree Sivananaintha Perumal' and 'Sree Akkini Madasamy Temple' which is situated in Melamaavadi, Tirunelveli District.

3.On the side of the respondents, it is stated that as per G.O.Ms.No.654 of 2020, Revenue and Disaster Management (DM-IV) https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.4981 of 2021 Department, Dated 21.11.2020, the Collector is the authority to give permission for conducting the festival.

4.In view of the above submissions, the petitioner is hereby directed to send a representation to the concerned District Collector. On such representation, the concerned District Collector is at liberty to pass an order in accordance with the situation prevailing in that locality.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
