O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to issue patta, in Proceedings No2025/0154/22/001964, in the name of the petitioner for the property situated in Survey Nos.8081, 8082/1, 8082/2 and 8082/3, measuring an extent of 2646 square feet, at Old Santhaipettai Road, North Raja Street, Pudukkottai Town, Pudukkottai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 20.01.2026, within a time frame stipulated by this Court.
2. With the consent of the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The grievance of the petitioner is that he purchased the subject property on 23.12.2025. At the time of registration of the document, the Sub-Registrar, Pudukkottai, forwarded the patta transfer application vide Proceedings No.2025/0154/22/001964. However, the said application is still pending consideration. Therefore, the petitioner has been constrained to file the present Writ Petition.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner's application would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed by the respondent within a period of sixteen weeks.
5. Recording the above submission and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's application forwarded vide Proceedings No.2025/0154/22/001964 and pass appropriate orders on its merits and in accordance with law within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The application shall be disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The respondent is also directed to provide a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties who may be affected by such decision, before passing any order. There shall be no order as to costs.
