O R D E R
This Criminal Original petition is filed seeking a direction to the Inspector of Police, Keelavalavu Police Station, Madurai District, the 2nd respondent herein, to accord adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner.
2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Criminal side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2.
3. It is stated that the petitioner lodged a complaint against the third respondent for making an attempt to her life. It is further submitted that though the petitioner gave the complaint against the third respondent, to the second respondent, except issuance of a receipt in C.S.R.No.59 of 2017, dated 30.01.2017, no action is taken on his complaint till the present petition is https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
filed. It is also stated that even the preliminary enquiry was not conducted by the second respondent. Though the petitioner is being threatened, that too in a broad daylight, the petitioner states that he is put to constant threat by the third respondent.

The learned Government Advocate(Criminal Side) on instructions submitted that the complaint given by the petitioner has been registered in Crime No.374 of 2017 and that the second respondent police has to investigate further. In case, if any protection is required, the second respondent will extend the same depending upon the relevant facts and circumstances.
5. The statement of the learned Government Advocate(Criminal Side) is recorded and hence, the Criminal Original petition is closed.
