PRAYER : Civil Revision Petition is filed under Article 227 of Constitution of India to direct the Family Court, Thoothukudi, to expedite the trial and dispose the suit in D.O.P.No.397 of 2024 within a stipulated time which this Court may deem fit.

ORDER

This Civil Revision Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Judge, Family Court, Thoothukudi, to dispose of the case in D.O.P.No. 397 of 2024, within a time frame fixed by this Court. 2.This Court, vide order, dated 20.02.2026, had directed the learned Judge, Family Court, Thoothukudi, to send a year wise pendency report of the pending cases and in compliance of the same, the learned learned Judge, Family Court, Thoothukudi, had sent a report vide proceedings in D.No. 99/2026, dated 25.02.2026, annexing the breakup details with regard to the pendency of the cases arising from the year 2024 to 2026. From the perusal of the same, it is seen that the total number of pending cases is 128 and the pendency of the cases in the year 2024 is 38. 3.Since the present case is of the year 2024, the learned learned Judge, Family Court, Thoothukudi, is directed to dispose of the case in D.O.P.No.397 of 2024, on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible

within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.With the aforesaid directions, the Civil Revision Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
