Common Prayer : Writ Petitions are filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to include the petitioner's name in the common seniority maintained among the ministerial service employees of the Department of Backward Classes, Most Backward Classes and De-notified Communities, and Minorities Welfare and to consider for promotions of the petitioners in accordance with the common seniority on par with their Juniors by considering representation of the petitioner dated 24.01.2018.

By consent of both parties, these writ petitions are taken up for disposal at the stage of admission itself. 2.The petitioners are presently working as Assistants in Kallar Reclamation Department. They seek promotion to the post of Superintendent. In this regard, they have given representations dated 24.01.2018.

3.The second respondent is directed to consider the said representation submitted by the petitioners dated 24.01.2018 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed anything on the merits of the matter. These writ petitions are disposed of accordingly. No costs.
