O R D E R

The petitioner claims that in a suit for partition, the matter was referred to Lok Adalat and settled. The petitioner wanted to register the Lok Adalat award, but the second respondent had declined the same. Hence, this Writ Petition.

2.When the matter came up for admission, Mr.P.T.Thiraviam, learned Government Advocate representing the respondents states that he has received a written instruction from the respondents that they will cause verification whether any of the property, which is involved in the Lok Adalat, is a Government land and in case, if it is not so, they will register the Lok Adalat Award.

3.The said statement is recorded. There shall be a direction to the respondents to register the Lok Adalat award within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
