O R D E R

This petition has been filed to direct the first respondent delete the petitioner's name in the rowdy list maintained by the second respondent by considering the petitioner's representation dated 22.02.2018.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner was convicted in a murder case in Crime No.253 of 1976 and after serving life imprisonment, he came out of the prison and subsequently, three cases were registered against the petitioner and in all the three cases, he was acquitted. He further submitted that as on date, no case is pending against the petitioner herein. Hence, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 22.02.2018 to remove his name from the rowdy list, but sofar, no action has been taken.

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents has submitted that totally seven cases have been registered against the petitioner herein, out of which, as on date https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

three cases are pending. Hence, the petitioner's representation is pending for consideration before the Superintendent of Police, Virudhunagar.

4.Considering the aforesaid submissions, the Superintendent of Police, Virudhunagar is directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 22.02.2018 and pass appropriate order within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the same to the petitioner with regard to the decision taken by him.
