O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to quash the impugned order passed by the 3rd respondent dated 13.02.2025 in order No.04/Se.Mu.Aa/Ku.Ka.Ni/2025 and consequently, to direct the respondents no.1 to 3 to grant permission to conduct a hunger strike on 18.02.2025.
2. Mr.M.Sakthi Kumar, learned Government Advocate (Criminal) takes notice for the respondents.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal) appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner has not enclosed sufficient documents in respect of parking as well as medical facilities and the place is also very busy area in the locality. Therefore, they have rejected the request of the petitioner.
4. At this juncture, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that since the hunger strike is scheduled to be held on Page No. 2 of 4
18.02.2025 and within a short time, they are unable to produce all the documents. Therefore, the learned counsel for the petitioner prays this Court to direct the respondents to consider the fresh representation for the hunger strike dated 20.02.2025. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents has also fairly conceded that if the petitioner produces the necessary documents, they will consider the same in accordance with law.
5. In view of the said submissions of the learned counsels on either side, this Court directs the petitioner to submit a fresh representation with all relevant records on 18.02.2025 and the respondents are also directed to consider the same on merits in accordance with law on or before 20.02.2025.
6. With the above said directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
