Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Government Pleader produced the copy of the communication dated 22.02.2023 received from the Deputy Salt Commissioner, Chennai. It reads that the subject tender process had already been cancelled and that the decision of DPIIT regarding Quality Cost Based System (QCBS) method of inviting tenders is awaited. It has also been stated that action is being taken to refund the EMD to the tenderers.

3. I am confident that this refund process will be completed as expeditiously as possible.

4. Recording the aforesaid communication, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
