2.According to the petitioners, their property in T.S.No.61/1, to an extent of 1.48 acres, situated at Vilpatti Village, Kodaikanal Taluk, has been acquired by the respondents for the purpose of providing house sites to Adi Dravidas. Challenging the above acquisition proceedings, WP(MD)No.9571 of 21986 has been filed before the Principal Seat of this Court. This Court, by the order dated 18.11.1996, has allowed the writ petition and set aside the acquisition proceedings. Against which, no appeal has been filed and that order has become final.

3.In the meantime, since the revenue records have been mutated in favour of the petitioners, the petitioners have made a representation before the fourth respondent to transfer patta in favour of the petitioners. But, so far, no order has been passed. Hence, this writ petition has been filed.

4.Considering the fact that the application is pending before the fourth respondent for a long time, without going into the merits of the case, the fourth respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioners in Na.Ka.No.165 /1985/A and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, this Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
