This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first respondent to revoke the suspension of the petitioner dated 03.10.2024 and reinstate him in the non-sensitive post of Foreman Grade I in the light of the guidelines issued under Chapter - II, Section 2 (3) of Tamil Nadu Electricity Board Employees Discipline and Appeal Regulations.
2. During the course of hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is confining his relief to the extent of seeking direction to the first respondent to consider the representation, dated 23.12.2024 submitted by the petitioner.

The learned Standing counsel for the respondents would submit that the petitioner has suspended only on 03.10.2024 on registration of trap and arrest case by the Vigilance Department and the petitioner submitted representation within two months of suspension order seeking revocation of suspension order, which is not permissible under law. Accordingly, he sought to dismiss the writ petition as premature.
4. However, the learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that though the representation submitted on 23.12.2024, as on date four months period was over from the date of suspension order and as such, requested to direct the first respondent to consider the representation.

Considering the submissions of the respective learned counsels and on careful examination of the materials available on record, in our view, it is appropriate and reasonable to dispose of the writ petition at the admission stage with the consent of both parties without going into the merits of the case with a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation, dated 23.12.2024 submitted by the petitioner in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a stipulated period to meet the ends of justice. 3/5

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation, dated 23.12.2024 submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
