Prayer:Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to formulate a inquiry committee to conduct an inquiry over the certificate and selection of five Village Assistant Post of Thisaiayanvilai Taluk, Tirunelveli District, by conducting fresh selection over this issue, on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 08.02.2023 within a time frame to be stipulated by this Court.

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to formulate an Inquiry Committee to conduct an inquiry over the certificate and selection of five Village Assistant Post of Thisaiayanvilai Taluk, Tirunelveli District, by conducting fresh selection over this issue, on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 08.02.2023, within a stipulated period.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner applied for the Post of Village Assistant and he made an application on 22.10.2022 through online. The petitioner attended the examination and 2/6
subsequently, he received the call letter calling for the petitioner to attend the interview on 10.01.2023. The petitioner also attended the interview. However, he was not selected for the said post. The grievance of the petitioner is that the selection process was not in accordance with the Rules. Hence, he made a representation to the respondents on 08.02.2023. Since the same was not considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition with the aforesaid prayer.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if the respondents are directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 08.02.2023, on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, has no serious objection for such an order being passed by this Court.
5. Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the matter, 3/6
directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 08.02.2023 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
