ORDER
The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the Petitioner had filed this petition seeking direction against the Respondent Police not to harass the Petitioner.
2. The learned Counsel for the Petitioner submitted that the Petitioner was implicated as an accused in a murder case and she stood trial. After due trial, the learned Sessions Judge, Tirunelveli, acquitted the Petitioner in S.C.No.280 of 2022. Apart from that, there is no other case pending against the Petitioner. Still under the pretext of history sheet, the Respondent Police are harassing the Petitioner. On 19.02.2024, three Police officers went to the residence of the Petitioner and informed the Petitioner to produce the photo and Aadhar Card of her husband. Therefore, the Petitioner had filed this petitioner not to harass her under the guise of an enquiry.
3. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) on instructions from the Respondent Police submitted that the history sheet is maintained against the Petitioner till date. He also consisted that the Sessions case ended in acquittal. It is the only case pending against the Petitioner and she 2/5
was history sheeter and no other case had been registered against her.
4. The Respondents 1 and 2 are directed to summon the Petitioner by specifying the date and time for the appearance of the Petitioner, if she is wanted in any case. Till such time, the Petitioner or her family members shall not be harassed by summoning them at odd hours.
5. With the above said direction, this Criminal Original Petition is closed.
