Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.03.2018 provide alternative place of business at Palani Giri Veethi or

The limited prayer sought for in the present writ petition is for a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation.

2.According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioners had given a representation on 06.03.2018 seeking for providing alternative place of business at Palani Giri Veethi or near Palani Tourist Bus Stand by invoking Provision of the Street Vendors Protection Act. Since the representation has not been considered, the present writ petition has been filed. 3.It is needless to point out that whenever a representation of this nature is made, the respondents are duty bound to pass appropriate orders in one way or another, rather keep in pending indefinite. In this background, there shall be a direction to the fourth respondent herein, to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 06.03.2018 on his own merits and pass appropriate order, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that I have not expressed any of my views with regard to the petitioner's entitlement for an alternative place of business. 4.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands allowed. No costs.
