ORDER

The petitioner is working as a Driver-cum-Conductor in the respondent Transport Corporation. He was affected with renal failure and is undergoing dialysis. Therefore, he submitted a representation to the respondents, requesting to provide him an alternative employment as per Section 20(4) of the Rights of the Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. However, the said representation has not been considered by the respondents. Therefore, the petitioner has filed a writ petition in W.P. 2/6

(MD)No.31171 of 2025.

2. Considering the stand taken by the respondents in the writ petition that they have to ascertain the petitioner's physical condition, this Court by its order dated 11.11.2025, disposed of the writ petition with a direction to the respondents to refer the petitioner to the Medical Board and issued a further direction that the petitioner shall not be discharged from service and shall be continued to be given salary and also directed the respondents to disburse the unpaid salary to the petitioner within tweleve weeks.

3. The petitioner with a grievance that the order of this Court dated 11.11.2025 passed in W.P.(MD)No.31171 of 2025 has not been complied with, has filed this contempt petition.

4. Today, when this contempt petition is taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel, by referring to a proceedings dated 19.02.2026 submits that the Medical Board has submitted its report only on 02.02.2026 and the petitioner has also been provided with an 3/6

alternative employment. A copy of the proceedings dated 19.02.2026 is also furnished to the petitioner.

5. In view of the same, this Contempt Petition is closed with a direction to the respondents to comply with the remaining portion of the direction as to the payment of salary due to the petitioner. 19.02.2026 ogy Index : Yes / No.
