The petitioners are arrayed as accused Nos. 2 to 6 in Crime No. 161 of 2012 for the alleged offences under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 323 and 324 and 506(ii) IPC. The first accused is said to be no more alive. 2.Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners, learned counsel for the second respondent and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the State. This Court has also perused the compromise memo and the complaint.

3.On a complaint filed by the second respondent, the first respondent has registered the case under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 323 and 324 and 506(ii)IPC in Crime NO. 161 of 2012 dated 24.05.2012. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.A joint compromise memo has been filed by the parties duly signed by the parties as well as the respective counsels wherein it has been stated that there is no necessity to proceed further. The parties are also present before this Court especially, the second respondent. 5.Considering all the above aspects, this Court is inclined to quash the case Crime NO. 161 of 2012 dated 24.05.2012 as no useful purpose would be served by continuing the investigation any longer. Accordingly, the case in Crime NO. 161 of 2012 dated 24.05.2012 is quashed. The compromise memo shall form part of record. This petition is ordered.
