PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to give adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and the petitioner's family members based on the petitioner's representation dated 13.02.2020 by taking necessary action against the respondents 5 to 7.

ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking for police protection to the petitioner based on his representation dated 13.02.2020. 2.A perusal of the affidavit filed by the petitioner indicates that there is a dispute running over the Church https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

W.P.(MD)No.4146 of 2020 properties. It is stated by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State that the suit in O.S.No.666 of 2016 is also pending before the Principal District Munsif, Trichy. As the dispute itself is related to the rights of the groups in the same religion, the matter is subjudiced before the trial Court. In such view of the matter, this Court is of the view that no such blanket directions could be issued. However, the petitioner is at liberty to workout his remedy before the Civil Court. 3.Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed. No costs.
