ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to dispose the petitioner's representation dated 12.12.2025 seeking for Transfer of patta in respect of landed property, comprised in Survey No.593/16 at Vangamanuthu Village, Dindigul East Taluk, Dindigul District, within the time as stipulated by this Court.
2. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the subject property is ancestral in nature and the petitioner and his sister are in possession and enjoyment of the said property. It is further submitted that the petitioner made a representation dated 12.12.2025 to the respondents 1 and 2 seeking transfer of Patta. However, despite receipt of the said representation, the second respondent has neither considered the same nor passed any orders thereon so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.
4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation will be considered and appropriate orders will be passed on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
5. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 12.12.2025, and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law after providing reasonable opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, and any other persons, who may be affected by such decision, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
