This petition has been filed to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 03.01.2018 to grant permission to conduct the "Pongal Thiruvizha" as well as other programmes and also to conduct the "Adal Padal" on 14.01.2018 at about 08.00 p.m to 11.00 p.m in Nambithalaivanpattayam Village, Tirunelveli District.

2. Heard, Mr.S.Sathya Chidhambram, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Shanmuga Selvam, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent. 3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that every year during Pongal Festival the petitioner conducted "Pongal Thiruvizha" as well as other programmes and also to conducted the "Adal Padal". Likewise, in this year also, the petitioner has a proposal to conduct "Pongal Thiruvizha" as well as other programmes and also to conduct the "Adal Padal" on 14.01.2018 and for that, he gave a representation on 03.01.2018 to the respondent, but, so far, the said representation has not been considered by the respondent.

4.The learned Additional Government Pleader has submitted that the respondent will consider the petitioner's representation and pass appropriate orders.

5.Considering the aforesaid submission, the respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 03.01.2018 and dispose of the same on or before 13.01.2018.

6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
