O R D E R

The present Contempt Petition has been filed alleging violation of the order passed by this Court in W.P.(MD).No.25384 of 2024 dated 28.11.2024, wherein this Court directed the third respondent to verify whether the petitioners had worked as sanitary workers in various Panchayats in Sivagangai District between April and June 2021 and to disburse the benefits contemplated under G.O.(Ms.) No.256, Health and Family Welfare Department, dated 28.05.2021.

2. In compliance with the order of this Court, the District Collector has passed proceedings dated 18.02.2026 stating that, as per the report of the concerned Block Development Officer, the petitioners had not worked as sanitary workers who were in direct contact with COVID-19 patients.

3. In view of the above facts, the Contempt Petition stands closed, granting liberty to the petitioners to challenge the order dated 18.02.2026, if they are so advised.
