ORDER
This Contempt Petition has been filed with the prayer that the respondent/contemnor has not complied with the judgment and order passed by the Hon'ble Writ Court in W.P.(MD) No.20018 of 2022, dated 29.08.2022. 2.Heard Mr.V.Kasiraja, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.D.Sadiq Raja, learned Additional Government Pleader, for the Respondent.

3.The Co-ordinate Bench of this Court, vide judgment and order dated 29.08.2022, had disposed of the said writ petition with the following directions:- "4.In the light of the above observations, there shall be a direction to the first respondent herein to consider the petitioners' representations, dated 18.07.2019, on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any of its views with regard to the merits of the claim of the petitioners and that it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the same on its own merits." 4.Today, when the matter is taken up, Mr.D.
Sadiq Raja, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent submits that in compliance of the judgment and order passed in W.P.(MD) No.20018 of 2022, dated 29.08.2022, the respondent has considered the claim and grievances of the petitioners and vide order dated 07.03.2023, has passed a reasoned and a speaking order on merits and in accordance with law. In this regard, he filed a copy of the decision taken by the District Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department, Madurai, dated 07.03.2023. It was further submitted that the order passed by the District Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department, Madurai, dated 07.03.
bearing W.P.(MD) Nos.7963 to 7965 of 2023, which are pending for consideration. Thus, the learned Additional Government Pleader submits that the respondent may be discharged from the present contempt proceedings and the present Contempt Petition may also be dismissed, accordingly, as the judgment and order of this Court dated 29.08.2022 has been fully complied with, vide order dated 07.03.2023 and the present Contempt Petition has now become infructuous.
5.A copy of the order passed by the District Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department, Madurai, dated 07.03.2023 is produced before this Court, which is now taken on record and a copy of the same has also been given to the learned counsel for the petitioners. 6.Mr.V.Kasiraja, learned counsel for the petitioners also concedes the submission of Mr.D.Sadiq Raja, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondent and has no objection if the respondent is discharged from the present contempt proceedings and the present Contempt Petition may also be dismissed, accordingly, as the judgment and order of this Court dated 29.08.2022 has been fully complied with, vide order dated 07.03.2023 and the present Contempt Petition has now become infructuous. 4/7
7.Accordingly, in view of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties, after perusal of the judgment and order passed in W.P.(MD) No.20018 of 2022, dated 29.08.2022 and the order passed by the District Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department, Madurai, dated 07.03.2023 and also considering the statement of Mr.V.Kasiraja, learned counsel for the petitioners that the order passed by the District Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department, Madurai, dated 07.03.2023, has already been challenged by the petitioners before the Co-ordinate Bench of this Court by way of filing writ petitions bearing W.P.(MD) Nos.7963 to 7965 of 2023, this Court is satisfied that the direction issued by this Court in W.P.(MD) No.20018 of 2022, dated 29.08.2022 has been complied with by the respondent and no useful purpose will be served in continuing with the present contempt proceedings against the respondent, as the present Contempt Petition has no cause of action and is liable to be dismissed.
8.Accordingly, this Contempt Petition is dismissed and the respondent is discharged from the present contempt proceedings. The file is consigned to record. No costs.
