ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents to sanction family pension of late.Mr.Muniyandi who received Freedom Fighters Pension from 04.10.1969 to 30.09.2013 from Manamadurai Sub Treasury through F.F.Pension Payment Order No.6340/70 dated 13.10.1970 in her favour from his date of death i.e., 17.11.2013.

https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 2.According to the petitioner, freedom fighters pension was sanctioned to the petitioner's husband one Muniyandi in the year

1969 and thereafter, he was receiving pension till his death. After his death, the petitioner is entitled to receive family pension. However, the respondents did not sanction family pension to the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner sent several representations to the authorities. Pursuant to the same, the District Collector, Sivagangai District, the first respondent herein directed the Revenue Divisional Officer, Sivagangai to consider the representation of the petitioner. Thereafter, no order has been passed. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition. 3.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the fact that the petitioner's husband received the freedom fighters pension till October 2013, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
