ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus, seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to give police protection to the petitioner's family members life and properties situated at Patta No.445, Old Survey No.154/2, New Survey No.154/1, Door Nos. 45, 45/1 and 45/2 country tailed house to an extent of 400 Square metre, in Mela Salai (South), Thiruvidaimaruthur Village, Thiruvidaimaruthur Taluk, Thiruvidaimaruthur SRO, Kumbakonam Registration District, Thanjavur District on the basis of the complaint given by the petitioner, dated 25.02.2022. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents 1 to 5 stated that the petitioner herein has lodged a complaint seeking police protection and the same is still pending on the file of the fourth respondent for enquiry.
3.Considering the above, the second respondent is directed to issue summons to the petitioner and the respondents 5 to 8 and conduct enquiry after giving opportunity of hearing and dispose of the same, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.
4.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
