By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner was employed in the co-operative department. He reached the age of superannuation in the year 2015. He was ever not allowed to retire. This was on account of pendency of disciplinary proceedings initiated against him. Now, more than 21⁄2 years have lapsed.

3. The third respondent is the disciplinary authority. He

is directed to finalise the disciplinary proceedings initiated against the petitioner within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
