Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the Respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representation dated 24.10.2017 in the light of recommendation of the Village Administrative Officer Keela Neelithanallur Village so as to enable the petitioners to get Patta to their property comprised in S.No. 1326/1B1 and 1326/1B2 situated at Keela Neelithanallur Village, Tenkasi Registration District, Tirunelveli.

COMMON ORDER These writ petitions have been filed seeking direction to the respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioners representation dated 24.10.2017 in the light of the recommendation made by the Village Administrative Officer, Keela Neelithanallur Village so as to enable them to get patta to their property comprised in S.Nos.1326/1B1 and 1326/1B2 situated at Keela Neelithanallur Village, Tenkasi Registration District, Tirunelveli.
2.Heard Mr.G.Thalaimutharasu, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.Aayiram K.Selvakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent. 3.According to the petitioners, they are the owners of the property comprised in S.Nos.1326/1B1 and 1326/1B2 situated at Keela Neelithanallur Village, Tenkasi Registration District, Tirunelveli. They have filed an application before the respondent https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
for grant of patta. On receipt of the said application, the respondent forwarded the same to the Village Administrative Officer, who in turn sent a positive report to the respondent. Since no order has been passed so far, the present writ petition has been filed.
4.Considering the fact that the applications are pending for long time, the respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 24.10.2017 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioners as well as to the interested parties, if any.
5.With the above direction, the writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
