: Respondents PRAYER:- Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records pertaining to the impugned provisional Selection list published by the first and second respondents website in RC.No.850/R2/TNUSRB/2019, dated 04.02.2020 in respect of the selection process on the Notification No.01/TNUSRB/2019, dated 06.03.2019 issued by the second respondent calling for the applications for the post of Police Constable Grade-II (Men, Women and Transgender), Jail Warders Grade II (Men and Women) and Fireman (Men) 2019 and quash the same as illegal and consequently to direct the first and second respondent to appoint the petitioner (Roll No.7400219) to the post of Grade-II Police Constable (Women), Jail Warder Grade-II (Women) by adding the Special Marks for having studied in Tamil Medium upto 10th Standard.

ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the impugned provisional Selection list published by the first and second respondents dated 04.02.2020 in respect of the selection process on 1/3
the Notification No.01/TNUSRB/2019, dated 06.03.2019 and for a direction to the first and second respondent to appoint the petitioner (Roll No.7400219) to the post of Grade-II Police Constable (Women), Jail Warder Grade-II (Women) by adding the Special Marks for having studied in Tamil Medium upto 10th Standard. 2.Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondents. 3.The grievance of the petitioner is that 20% reservation for the PSTM candidates has not been followed and that the petitioner has not been extended with the benefit of the marks under SC (General)(PSTM) category.
4.In the written instructions submitted by the respondents herein, it is stated that the petitioner, who belongs to SC community under General category, had claimed PSTM in her application. The petitioner had secured 38 marks in the written test, 6 marks in the physical efficiency test and in total, she has secured 44 marks and she was ranked at 3271. The last selected candidate under SC General (PSTM) category has secured 49 marks and ranked at 2314 and the last selected candidate under SC General category has secured 49 marks and ranked at 2325. 5.Apparently, the petitioner has not qualified herself within the cut off marks. Hence, I do not find any merits in the claim made by the petitioner. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
