Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to provide police protection to the petitioner.

ORDER
By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final hearing at the admission stage itself.
2.The main grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner lodged a complaint with the police with regard to the illegal drug battling activities in his land and though First Information Report was registered by the police in this regard, some of the accused trespassed into his property and also threatened him. His further contention is that the representation submitted by the petitioner in this regard on 26.02.2021 did not evoke any response from the respondent police.
3.Mr.S.Chandrasekar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who accepts notice for the respondent, on instructions, would submit that the representation of the petitioner would be considered and, if necessary, adequate police protection would be given to the present petitioner.
4.Recording the said submission, the Inspector of Police, Peravoorani Police Station is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 26.02.2021 based on findings and on merits, within a period of two weeks from the date https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2
W.P.(MD)No.5055 of 2021 of receipt of a copy of this order and give adequate police protection, if found necessary.
5.With the above observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
