PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records in pursuant to the impugned Suspension order issued by the 2nd Respondent in Memo No. 216/EE/NGL/ADM/A.1/F.Suspension / 2026, dated 30.01.2026 and Quash the same and consequently direct the Respondents to reinstate the Petitioner as Junior Engineer I Grade / Distribution /Thovalai, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari Electricity Distribution Circle, with all attendant and monetary and other benefits and to treat the period of suspension as duty.

The petitioner, who is working as a Junior Engineer (Distribution) under the respondent Electricity Board has been 2/6

placed under suspension by the order impugned in this writ petition. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that based on a vague complaint lodged by one of the consumers on alleged telephonic conversation, the petitioner has been placed under suspension without even issuing any charge memo.

3.Mr.Arivalagan, learned Standing Counsel take notice for the respondents and submits that a charge memo has already been issued as against this petitioner on 05.02.2026. A copy of the charge memo is also placed before this Court. 4.Since it is reported that the disciplinary proceedings has already been contemplated as against this petitioner, pursuant to the order of suspension, this writ petition is closed with a direction to the respondents to conclude the disciplinary proceedings within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous 3/6

petition is also closed.
