Heard both sides.

2. The petitioner seeks issuance of passport.

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate submitted that the petitioner is facing trial in C.C.No.455 of 2024 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate-IV, Madurai.

4. In normal circumstances, I would have relegated to the petitioner to go before the Trial Court. But this case appears to be political in nature. The petitioner who has only participated in the public agitation is shown as Accused No.27 and therefore implication in such a case did not come in the way. The first respondent is directed to process the petitioner's application and issue passport to the petitioner subject to the fulfilment of the other usual formalities.
