ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the second respondent not to harass the petitioner by continuously calling upon the petitioner under the guise of enquiry.

2. Considering the nature of the order going to be passed in this petition, notice to the third respondent is dispensed with. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the records placed before this Court.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that there is a money dispute pending between the parties. Due to misunderstanding, the third respondent lodged a false complaint before the respondent police and based on which, the respondent police used to harass the petitioner frequently asking him to attend the enquiry. But, the petitioner has already appeared before the respondent police on various occasions. However, without passing any orders, merely keep on pending the complaint, the respondent police used to harass the petitioner. Therefore, the present petition is filed. 2/4

The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police would submit that the respondent police received the complaint as against the petitioner through various persons and thereby, conducted an enquiry about the complaint and during the enquiry, the respondent police have not harassed the petitioner in any manner. However, they will complete the enquiry within a period of fifteen days.

5. In view of the aforesaid submission made by the learned Government Advocate, it is appropriate to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to complete the enquiry within a period of fifteen days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and accordingly, ordered.

6. With the above said direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
