ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed for a direction to the second respondent not to harass the petitioner by continuously calling upon the petitioner in guise of enquiry.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the respondent police is frequently calling the petitioner, based on the false complaint given by the third respondent. Therefore, the petitioner filed this petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police would submit that based on the complaint given by the third respondent, the 2/6

respondent police called the petitioner for enquiry and they will complete the same within one week.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the third respondent would submit that the third respondent lodged a complaint before the second respondent for the crime of cheating committed by the petitioner by forging the document and hence, this petition is liable to be dismissed.

5. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials placed before this Court.

6. According to the petitioner, the second respondent is frequently calling the petitioner for enquiry without any basis. According to the second respondent, based on the complaint given by the third respondent, they called the petitioner for enquiry and also, the second respondent assured that they will conduct enquiry and dispose of the same within one week. 3/6

7. Considering the nature of the relief sought for in this petition and recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent police, this Court directs the second respondent to complete the enquiry within a period of one week from the date of this order.

8. With the above direction, this criminal original petition is disposed of. 24.02.2025 Index :
