PRAYER : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 2 to 4 to consider the petitioner's representation dated 27.02.2018 in the light of G.O.(Ms)No.80 Labour and Employment (Q1) Department dated 02.03.2018 and to provide increments to the petitioner from 01.07.1993 to till date and to pay arrears and other monetary benefits.

Mrs.S.Srimathy, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents.

3.The petitioner is employed in the Commercial Tax Department. His services are yet to be regularised. It has already been clarified with the Government that even if services are not regularised, they have to paid their annual increments. But the petitioner has not been extended such benefit. Therefore, the petitioner submitted his representation dated 05.12.2017 and follow by the reminder dated 27.02.2018.

4.The fourth respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representations on merits and pass appropriate orders and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order 5.The Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly.
