ORDER

With the consent of the parties, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.

2. I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.B.Saravanan, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. The petitioner seeks issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the second respondent to implement the third respondent's recommendation in Na.Ka.No.4326/2018/A1, dated 19.06.2020.

4. It is the case of the petitioner that the petitioner's father has gifted the lands in S.No.572 and given Boomi Dhanam to one Palani, which is recorded vide the Tahsildar's proceedings No.118/1965. According to the petitioner, the petitioner's mother, who was owning 2/5

adjoining lands, was not having knowledge about the said Bhoomi Dhanam and therefore, in order to have proper access to the lands retained by her sought for exchange of the said Bhoomi Dhanam lands by giving a proposal. The third respondent after conducting an enquiry has recommended for exchange of the land as proposed by the petitioner.

5. Now, the petitioner seeks a direction to the second respondent to implement the third respondent's recommendation dated 19.06.2020.

6. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the decision with regard to the exchange of lands already gifted to the Bloomi Dhanam Board has to be approved by the Commissioner of Land Reforms and effective steps would be taken to forward the necessary papers to the Commissioner of Land Administration and get approval for the proposed exchange in the light of the recommendations issued by the third respondent.

7. Considering the fact that the petitioner's request for exchange has been pending from June 2020, the first respondent shall take 3/5

efficacious steps to forward the files concerned to the Commissioner of Land Administration, Chennai and get approval for the exchange of lands as sought for/proposed by the writ petition, which was also recommended by the third respondent, Tahsildar, in and by his report dated 19.06.2020. The said exercise shall be completed within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

8. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
