O R D E R

This Criminal Original petition is filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to file Final Report in Crime No.26 of 2017, dated 29.01.2017, on the file of the respondent police and to proceed with the same as per law within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Criminal side) appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner stated that based on

the complaint lodged by the petitioner, a case was registered in Crime No.26 of 2017, dated 29.01.2017, for the offence under Sections 294(b), 506(i) of I.P.C., and Section 3 and 4 of Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Exorbitant Interest Act. He further submitted that there was no progress and in the meanwhile the accused has threatened the petitioner. In these circumstances, the petitioner has come to this Court for a direction to the second respondent to file final report in Crime No.26 of 2017.

4. Having regard to the facts and circumstances narrated by the petitioner in this case, this Court is inclined to issue the following direction:- "The second respondent is directed to complete the investigation and to file final report in Crime No.26 of 2017 within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
