O R D E R

This Criminal Original petition is filed seeking a direction to the the first respondent to direct the second respondent to investigate expeditiously in Crime No.337 of 2016 and to lay a final report within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate(Criminal side) appearing for the respondents.

3. On the basis of the complaint received from the petitioner, a case was registered in Crime No.337 of 2016 on the file of the second respondent for the alleged offence under Sections 468, 420 and 506(i) of I.P.C. Since there was no progress in the investigation despite the case was registered in the month of July 2016, the petitioner has come forward before this Court for a direction to the second respondent to file final report within the stipulated time.

4. The learned Government Advocate(Criminal Side) on instructions submitted that the complaint is about forgery of documents and that therefore, there was some delay in getting Expert opinion. It was in these circumstances, the learned Government Advocate(Criminal Side) prayed six months time for completing the investigation and to file final report.

5. Recording the statement of the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), this Court is inclined to issue the following direction:- "The second respondent is directed to complete the investigation and to file final report within a period of five months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order."
