PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. praying to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members as well as to provide police protection to the petitioner for doing agricultural works based on the petitioner's representation dated 16.02.2020 within the time limit that may be fixed by this Honourable Court.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking direction to direct the respondents 1 and 2 to provide adequate police protection to the life and limb of the petitioner and his family members as well as to provide police protection to the petitioner for doing agricultural works based on the petitioner's representation dated 16.02.2020 within the time limit that may be fixed by this Honourable Court.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that based on the complaint given by the petitioner a case in Crime No.56 of 2020 for the offence under Sections 341,294(b) and 506(ii) of IPC has been registered against the third respondent.

3. At this juncture the learned counsel for the petitioner since the petitioner has given complaint against the third respondent the relatives of the third respondent are causing harassment and threat to the life of the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that if the petitioner directly approaches the respondent police suitable action will be taken.
