ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, thereby directing the respondents herein to grant permission and protection to conduct the 'Aadalum Paadalum' dance programme on 10.04.2021 in pursuant the Masi Festival of Arulmighu Sri Vadakku Vasal Chelli Ammal Kovil, the above said programme is to be conducted at Karairuppu near in Goskampatti Panchayat, Melur Taluk, Madurai District by considering the petitioner's representation dated 25.02.2021 and 27.02.2021. 1/3

2.On the side of the petitioner, it is stated that a direction may be issued to the respondents to give permission and protection for conducting 'Aadalum Paadalum' dance programme on 10.04.2021 in Arulmighu Sri Vadakku Vasal Chelli Ammal Kovil at Karairuppu near in Goskampatti Panchayat, Melur Taluk, Madurai District. 3.On the side of the respondents, it is stated that as per G.O.Ms.No.654 of 2020, Revenue and Disaster Management (DM-IV) Department, Dated 21.11.2020, the Collector is the authority to give permission for conducting such cultural programme. 4.In view of the above submissions, the first respondent is directed to dispose of the petitioner's representations dated 25.02.2021 and 27.02.2021, in accordance with the situation prevailing in that locality, within a period of three days from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
