ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioners/A1 and A2, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 294(b) and 506(ii) of IPC., in Crime No.Not Known of 2017, seek anticipatory bail.

2.I have heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

3.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent, on instructions, would submit that that the de-facto complainant has filed Crl.M.P.No.3606 of 2017 before the Judicial Magistrate No.I, Thoothukudi, under section 156(3) Cr.P.C, wherein a direction was given to the respondent to conduct enquiry and therefore, the alleged threat of arrest or harassment, as alleged by the petitioners herein, is not true.

4.At this juncture, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners states that the respondent police is harassing the petitioners, under the guise of enquiry.

5.Hence, the respondent is directed to expedite the enquiry and register the FIR, if necessary, as early as possible and the respondent should not harass the petitioners under the guise of enquiry. The petitioners are directed to co-operate with the enquiry by the respondent.

6.With the above observation, this Criminal Original Petition stands closed.
