ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who is arrayed as accused, apprehending arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 417, 420 & 506(i) IPC and Section 4 of Women Harassment Act in Crime No.99 of 2018 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioner pressed for grant of anticipatory bail for the petitioner. The learned Additional Advocate General appearing for the respondent submitted that nothing took place in Karaikudi and the entire cause of action arose only at Chennai and that therefore the respondent police intend to transfer the case from Karaikudi to Chennai. 3.This Court heard the learned counsel appearing for the defacto complainant also. It is further submitted that the respondent police would not take any action pursuant to the registration of Crime No.99 of 2018 registered against the petitioner. It is only for the Jurisdictional Police to take action as per law.

4.Recording the above said submissions, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. It is needless to state that the petitioner's right to apply for anticipatory bail afresh before the Jurisdictional Court is not foreclosed.
