The present Writ Petition is directed against the impugned order, dated 21.03.2018 passed by the respondent and quash the same and consequently, directing the respondent to grant permission and to provide police protection to conduct the "Aadalum Paadalum" dance programme on 12.04.2018 in purusant to the "Panguni Thiruvizha" of Arulmigu Muthalamman Koil, Situated at Kottarpatti Village, Periyakulam Taluk, Theni District. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent.
3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondent submitted that the dispute among the parties has been settled before the enquiry, which was conducted by the Inspector of Police, Devathanapatti Police Station, Theni District and since there is an amicable settlement arrived at between the parties, there is no impediment for considering the petitioner's representation dated 18.03.2018.

4.In the light of the above, the impugned order dated 21.03.2018 passed by the respondent is quashed and the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.03.2018 afresh and pass orders on merit and in accordance with law. The petitioner shall produce a copy of the representation dated 18.03.2018 before the respondent along with a copy of this order. No costs.
