O R D E R

This Criminal Original petition is filed seeking a direction to the learned Judicial Magistrate, Pudukkottai to expedite the trial in C.C.No.297 of 2016.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners have charged with for the offences under Sections 294(b), 324, 341 and 506(ii) IPC and after investigation, a final report was filed as early as on 29.08.2016 and the matter is taken on file as C.C.No.297 of 2016, and the same is pending on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate, Pudukkottai. Further, the learned counsel would submit that since the first petitioner applied for selection of Grade II Constable, in view of the pendency of the criminal case against him, his application was not considered. Hence, the petitioners filed the present criminal original petition seeking the relief above said relief.

3.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the fact that the matter is pending from the year 2016, the learned Judicial Magistrate, Pudukkottai, is directed to dispose of the C.C.No.297 of 2016 within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
